Grapat provide materials without instructions. They are open-ended, favouring free and autonomous play. Grapat’s only premise is to let children play, slowly, without time limits. Grapat encourages, invites and stimulates the creation of several fantastic, realistic and invented little worlds.

That was how Casiana & Jordi, the founders of Grapat envisioned, when they were inspired by their eldest daughter through play with the simplest materials. And that children’s play is sacred and shall be protected, with no interruptions. Just with our presence, and silence.

Rooted in Nature

Grapat is made following traditional processes, in the old way, with thick soft raw materials, natural dyes which let the wood veins be seen and vibrant coloured waxes and oils that slightly shine. The toys are painted by hand, homemade, surrounded by land, fire, rivers and many children nearby, who inspire them daily. These make every Grapat piece unique.

Sustainability

Grapat are fully made of PEFC wood, meaning that the sourced wood are from responsibly sourced forestry. They have respectably eliminated the use of plastics in all their packaging, in an effort to reduce waste on the planet.  

Safety

All Grapat are safety certified according to EN71 standards and CE certified as well.
